Emily Hilyard

My love of dogs runs in the family! I was born and raised in Tucson. I graduated from Salpointe Catholic High School and attended the University of Arizona. Sit! Stay! Play!’s first client's were my parents and their deaf boxer, Beethoven.

My hobbies, when not with the dogs, include ceramics and swimming. I have one human daughter named Ryin, a 14 yr old dog named Kai Cup and one feisty cat.

I have worked at Sit! Stay! Play! since 2007. I have spent more than 35,000 hours in canine play groups. I work continuously on learning and studying dog training and behavior. I am CPR and First Aid Certified. My love of dogs has inspired me to make this my career and I am lucky to work with the most wonderful team who give their all everyday to enrich the lives of these amazing dogs.

Arika Major

I was born in Napa, CA and moved to Tucson when I was 9 and have lived here ever since. I've been around animals my entire life and always knew I wanted to work with them in some way. I have two dogs, a 6-year-old pit mix named Olive and a 2-year-old German Shepherd/Husky mix named Reese. I also have three cats named Nova, Milo, and Rocks.

I am taking classes to become a dog trainer to further my knowledge of all things dog related. In my free time I enjoy reading, creating art, spending time with my family, and enjoying the outdoors!

I truly love working at SSP because I love learning each individual dog's personality, watching their confidence grow each day, and spending time with dogs every day is my happy place! I am so grateful to work with such wonderful clients, staff, and of course DOGS!

What I enjoy about SSP is the opportunity to work our clients and their dogs building their bond, improving their life skills and teaching the fun of Nosework as an activity to engage with their dogs.

Colin Ransom

Hello my name is Colin, I moved here to Tucson 7 years ago from New Hampshire. Before coming to Sit! Stay! Play! I work for five years with dogs in a daycare setting and soon came to enjoy it very much. I have one fur baby at home named Siegfried. He is an 11 year old Tibetan Terrier Schnauzer mix whom acts like a 2 year old. Since working in daycare I have discovered a passion and talent for grooming and hope to become a groomer in the near future.
